New RAJA line of wall hung electric boilers

New RAJA line of wall hung electric boilers. In its plant in Skalice, Vaillant Group Slovakia, s.r.o. has recently began producing the new RAJA version 13 generation of wall hung electric boilers, which offer a whole new range of improved characteristics and options.
The new version of electric boilers contains a whole range of new characteristics and improvements compared to the previous version. The change is already apparent at first glance – the boiler has the modern look of a wall hung gas boiler with even dimensions.

The boiler comes in an output range of 6 kW, 9 kW, 12 kW, 14 kW, 18 kW, 21 kW, 24 kW and 28 kW.

The boiler is controlled by a microprocessor, which ensures more continuous output control with a gradual increase or decrease in output in 1, 2 or 2.3 kW increments, depending on the type of boiler. The boiler controls have also significantly changed in comparison to the older version – we no longer encounter mechanically setting temperatures (with a knob) or output (with buttons) in the new version; it is instead controlled with buttons and a digital display. Not only the boiler controls but also the setting of service parameters, display of immediate values for either temperature or pressure in the heating system or of the immediate output of the boiler – all of those can now be shown on the display of the RAJA electric boiler. One more innovation, which will be mostly appreciated be service technicians – the boiler has a built-in self-diagnostic system, which together with the error number on the display, will significantly help identify any non-standard state of the boiler.

The microprocessor-guided control panel also enables equithermal regulation of the boiler, if an outdoor temperature sensor has been connected. It is possible to connect the boiler to an external DHW tank with a connection kit, where it is possible to directly set the desired temperature in the tank on the boiler display. The electronics of the boiler then take care of prioritized heating of DHW over heating system water. When heating the tank you no longer need to ensure that the temperature of the water in the heating system is as high as possible, as was the case in older versions – the new version has independent settings for DHW and heating temperatures.

Another innovation is a two-speed pump with automatic speed switching, depending on the need to heat DHW or heating system water. Several safety features are, of course, included in the boiler such as frost protection, pump protection, a three-way valve before blockage, an emergency thermostat and a safety valve.
Among the new features is one familiar among gas boilers – factory settings – return to parameters set at the factory.
As with previous versions, it will be possible to control the boiler with an HDO signal and, furthermore, after connecting an external releasing relay directly into the terminal on the boiler it is also possible to remotely control the output of the boiler in response to the load on the electrical mains.

The new RAJA boiler is also equipped with a terminal to connect a limiting thermostat for floor heating, which allows this boiler to be used not only for radiator heating but also for underfloor hot-water heating.
If one boiler does not have sufficient output, it is possible to set up cascading connections of RAJA boilers with a combination of 24 kW and 28 kW RAJA boilers. It is possible to use any of the boilers from the output range as the last boiler in the cascade . As with the last version, the new one allows for the connection of 6 kW and 9 kW boilers to single phase mains. What is new is a simplification of the connection to the single phase mains directly on the boiler terminal.

New RAJA boilers can be controlled by room thermostats, both simple ones or programmable ones with a switching contact. The only requirement is the currentless switching contact of the thermostat.
